Dr. Ching-wei Tan, received his doctorate in economics from National Chengchi University. He was the winner of the General Education Pioneering Project and Creative Teaching Contest for College Lecturers of the Ministry of Education, Taiwan. He was also the top prize winner in the Digital Archives and e-Learning Lesson Plan Design Contest. His course “Economics in Daily Life” is listed as top courses delivered in Mandarin in the Course Database of General Education TW. Tan has spent his lifetime promoting the spreading of general economics as a scholar who received his entire education in Taiwan.

課程簡介
「經濟學」可謂大學核心課程之一，然而，該如何教出一門屬於「華文社會的經濟學」，卻是一門大學問。本課程奠基於社會關懷價值以及華人文化，來闡述核心的經濟學原理主題。課程中藉由時事案例與流行趨勢等素材，透過生活主題式學習模組，重構西方經濟學教材流程，令各單元學習目的相對明確而實用。
課程目標
在學習目標方面，期勉學習者在學習完本課程後，能夠具備以下知識：
(1) 了解基本經濟學理論。
(2) 了解基本社會及商業運行邏輯。
(3) 能夠批判社會與商業的運與邏輯。
(4) 能夠提出解決商業與生活問題的方法。
